A change is as good as a rest

“Think of any function in the business and it is either being considered or has already been changed.” —Sue Williams

Ammique has a strong affinity with the hospitality world and, with leading exponents of change within the sector. With problem solving and sustainability at the heart of all we do, we have found a kindred spirit in the General Manager at Whatley Manor, Sue Williams.

A highly respected pioneer in the hospitality industry, Sue is leading the way in her passionate campaign for sustainability in the industry. Sharing her passion, it is a delight to be working with her and her team at such an environmentally responsible hotel, restaurant, and spa as Whatley Manor.

To help achieve a cleaner, safer, and healthier world for future generations, Whatley Manor’s owners have determined to transform how the hotel operates; creating a business that delivers a luxury guest experience whilst reducing its impact on the planet. Driving this endeavour, Sue is working towards a goal of Net Zero Emissions by 2028.

In September Whatley Manor was presented with the coveted Cateys 2021 Sustainable Business Award in recognition of its achievements in prioritizing its environmental and social sustainability goals across all operations.
When it comes to the prioritizing sleep and providing guests with a uniquely sustainable and adaptive sleep solution that lasts a lifetime and beyond, and need never end up in landfill – a change really is as a good as a rest.

“We are delighted to welcome Ammique as our latest commercial partner. This company, based in Somerset, builds high quality beds which, thanks to their unique patented design, have no mattresses and are therefore far more sustainable than ordinary beds. They are hygienic, extremely comfortable and will outlast any other type of bed.” —Pride of Britain
