Collaboration on bespoke ‘Wave’ bed

We’ve been working closely with creative Aerospace engineer Lee Rowland to take our technologically advanced, sustainable bed to the next level.

Wave combines Ammique’s precision engineered, body contouring system with Lee’s obsession for free-flowing sculptural forms to create the ultimate in mattress-free sleep. His artistry provides an aesthetic quality which looks almost like molten metal. A highly sophisticated and extraordinary style which is right on trend, and will remain timeless as so much of his work proves to be.

This concept faithfully captures the surface distortions of rippling water allowing light to fall on the Ammique bed to amazing effect – bringing headboard and wraparound body panels to life in different ways, throughout the day and night, as the mood in the bedroom changes.

The new bed base is fabricated in 6mm brass plate with mirror finishing throughout. Gold plating at 8 microns and mirror finished stainless are options. The wave core consists of CNC machined acrylic blocks which accurately capture fluid surface ripples. The acrylic used is specifically cast to achieve the correct colour tint and thickness.
