Ammique on World Economic Forum’s Uplink
“UpLink is a digital platform to crowdsource solutions for the world’s most pressing issues, as outline by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its objective is to link-up the best innovators to a growing network of experts, industry leaders and investors and decision-makers who can scale their venture and accelerate its impact.” —World Economic Forum
Launched at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in 2020 in partnership with salesforce and Deloitte. Since its establishment, UpLink’s founding partners have played an important role developing the technology architecture, platform development, vision, business model and impact framework.
Uplink had been created in response to the demand for a more inclusive approach to SDG action. It targets the creativity and expertise of global innovators, so they might contribute to the delivery of the SDGs. Through its collaborative action groups, UpLink aims to nurture a world where anyone with impact-oriented ideas and solutions is enabled to address the world’s most urgent challenges.
The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business, cultural and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. We believe that progress happens by bringing together people from all walks of life who have the drive and the influence to make positive change.
One year ago, UpLink issued a call for solutions to the world’s biggest challenges – progress so far: https://youtu.be/CRUsgiXUMJg
